THE SECRETS OF NATURE is a mixed media installation focused on creation / destruction mythologies, a good shepherd scenic garden, a prehistoric forest, the celestial bodies, and the operations of the sun. Using found objects from various abandoned tourist traps and roadside attractions, combined with mysterious artifacts and relics, the installation plays with ideas of archaeology, ceremony, symbology, and mysticism. Installed as part of the Kresge Foundation's Art X exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Detroit, and Site:Lab's exhibition at the former Morton Hotel in Grand Rapids.
