CORONAL MASS EJECTION is a mixed media installation created atthe Mattress Factory, Pittsburgh in 2013. Based on the lone remaining hot-metal torpedo car of Carrie Furnace, the alchemical process and the symbolic transformation of molten metal, prehistoric creation and destruction mythology, an obscure object of worship, serpent worship, solar worship, and the cycles of the sun during a year of solar maximum.
